Congratulations to our CEO Jack Mthembu for being listed on 2018′ Forbes Africa Under 30 entrepreneurs.
As a former Enactus NWU president a global organization that unites University students with a vision to transform communities through the use of Entrepreneurship. Mthembu’s passion was grown from that leading to him founding First One Adventures in 2014.
Mthembu’s entrepreneurial strives were evident from as early as in Grade 3. Growing up with grandparents who owned a couple of businesses, in the townships of Tickyline outside Tzaneen of Limpopo, South Africa. Often his grandmother would give him a packet of sweets to sell instead of pocket money as most grandparents would with their grandchildren.
Mthembu has listed Forbes Africa under 30 entrepreneurs in the Business Category for 2018. Mthembu exhibits a true testament that hard work always pays off. “Being listed as one to look out in the near future is exciting, this means that one will need to work 100 times more than before,” says Mthembu.
His entrepreneurial attempts include photography, corporate branding, making websites for businesses and offering accounting services, before fully launching into adventure and education.
Today Mthembu heads a profitable enterprise in an adventure with a focus of the youth development and giving young professionals getaway packages out of the city in the African safari. Youth development as the business’ main focus offers life coaching to school learners through the use of adventure as a learning platform. The organization further takes learners on a development program offered to post the camp through Teen Entrepreneurs Connect (TEC).
We are confident about the programs offered by First One Adventures and TEC as they both aimed at inspiring young independent thinkers, through entrepreneurship. Mthembu being listed as Forbes under 30, is evidence of what is offered.
